In October, the Sherwin-Williams Chicago Emulsion Plant held a Halloween candy drive to benefit children in their local neighborhood.
Employees of CEP brought in bags of individually wrapped candy in the weeks leading up to Halloween. S-W employee Peggy Nemcek, who has worked for the company for 35 years, led the candy drive effort. S-W employees delivered the donated candy to Prairie Academy, a local elementary school, to support the school’s annual Halloween festival. The festival gives children in the neighborhood a chance to eat, play games, socialize, and trick-or-treat in a safe, enclosed environment.
The response from CEP employees was outstanding, and helped to support their neighborhood school. Pictured, from left: Mark Gwizdalski, Area HR Manager; Peggy Nemcek, CEP Operations Scheduler and Mark Clodfelter, CEP Operations Manager.
