Having learned that the local Whole Foods Market was working with the Providence Parks Department on revitalizing a park near the new Providence East, RI S-W store, District Sales Manager, Nate Wolff, saw the opportunity for Sherwin-Williams to join the project.
Corliss Park, a park near the new S-W store that opened in September, was in need of repair and cleaning. The revitalization included cleaning and painting: a concrete Maintenance structure prior to the painting of a mural on said structure; several feet of hand rails; and tables and benches. In response to an enthusiastic request from Whole Foods, Wolff was able to put together a team of Sales Representatives and members of the district’s Women’s networking group (the Boston W.A.V.E.S.) to prep and paint the structure for the Whole Foods team, who then sketched a mural for children in the local community to paint. A coat of Pro Industrial™ AntiGraffiti Coating® will be applied after the mural is completed to preserve the artwork. Bill Clark from Graco® provided spray equipment to help speed up the process.
